This module on revising your arguments provides strategies for reviewing and revising your essay. It describes the importance of:

  • reviewing and revising your work
  • thinking like a reader
  • taking a break before reviewing your work
  • asking others to read your drafts  
  • providing those who review your work specific questions or instructions for reviewing
  • reviewing the assignment instructions to be sure that you have fully addressed them
  • reviewing your work multiple times, each time focusing on different aspects of the draft
